I have joined as CMD, IRCON, on 29th October 2016. It is my pleasure to join this illustrious organisation which holds a special place in the infrastructure industry.
During the four decades of existence, IRCON has grown tremendously from a turnover of Rs. 0.004 crore in 1976-77 to Rs. 2703 crore in 2015-16. The Company was on a growth trajectory till 2012-13, when it achieved its highest ever Turnover of Rs. 4471 crore. However, the last three years have witnessed a significant fall in turnover on account of various reasons.
With a sizeable order book of approx. Rs. 27000 crores, the Company needs to focus on strengthening of project implementation so that projects are executed in time with highest standards of quality.
In the first six months of this financial year, IRCON could achieve a turnover of Rs. 1120 crores against MoU target of Rs. 5100 crore, which is not up to the mark.
It is my firm belief that the employees of an organization hold key to its success. I trust the competency of employees of IRCON who have been instrumental in the growth surge which was being experienced three years back, and I am confident that they are capable of achieving even greater heights.
I urge all of you to put in all the efforts to place the organization at highest echelons of success and glory. We all as a team need to write the success story of IRCON, and make it one of the top most companies in Infrastructure sector.
While summing up, I quote Swami Vivekananda, “Arise, Awake, Act, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
